When talking about the outer perimeter security, we are referring to the security of all those
assets inside a barrier. The outer perimeter ensures that all those assets are secure from intruders
and those who have no access to them (Zakaria, 2019). Outer perimeter security refers to the
process of securing a specific area to either keep intruders out or to contain others.
When we look into the clinic scenario, the barrier is meant to ensure that the environment where
patients are is secured and that no unwelcome people are getting access. The perimeter is also
meant to secure the clinic from animals wandering around.
