Most organizations are unaware of the need for creating unions for their employees while
other organizations have developed unions, which do not accomplish the roles unions are
expected to perform in organizations. The lack of proper functioning unions affects
organizations’ ability to address employee issues that would normally be dealt with by unions.
Through research conducted within the organization and from published articles on the benefits
of unions, this memo provides details on why the company should consider putting in place a
