Genetically Modified or non-genetically Modified Foods
The controversy
There are different types of foods which everyone has a unique preference. There are
those who believe that genetically modified foods are the best and that they contain the nutrients
they require. There are those who believe that genetically modified foods contain more nutrients
as compared to natural foods. Genetically modified foods are known to contain Vitamin A,
which crucial part of the human diet. There are those, therefore, who believe they can only do
with the genetically modified foods, as they believe they contain the right nutrients for them.
Another belief by these people is that the foods are labeled in a better way and, therefore, easy to
identify. Remember, there are times people choose a specific diet, which will be easily chosen if
the foods are labeled. The genetically modified foods will contain an ingredient label, which
briefs the consumer on the kind of product they are buying. There are those who prefer labeled
products and which they will effectively define the nature of nutrients in it. That makes them
prefer the nature of such foods that give GMO popularity (Iordache et al. 2018). There are,
however, who believe in natural foods and eating them raw. These are people who barely want to
mix their bodies with other chemicals they barely know where they came from. It’s all about
wanting to eat natural foods that are not ‘contaminated.’ The group believes that any foods made
or processed rather than the natural foods from the firms may contain chemicals that will affect
their bodies. The government, however, will have a difficult time choosing the different methods
because they all have their positive and negative sides. It's all about choosing wisely for the
benefit of the consumers and the producers.
