How are fan art and fan fiction meaning-making?
The field of fun art and fan fiction is growing and promoting creativity. They not only
mean to entertain but also hey are making meaning by communicating crucial issues in the
society. Fan arts and fictions are created for a purpose. They can be used to pass information but
in an entertained form. For instance, one might get bored when they intend to read certain
information. However, when such information is presented in a form of fun art, it can creates
interest to the reader. For instance, one artist in the video, “Fan Art: An Explosion of creativity”
said that fun art tells what is going on in your head (Brown, 2012). This means that whatever the
artists create, it comes from their heads or thoughts so that they can communicate a certain
message.
What compels artist to generate creative products?
There are various forces that are convincing artists to generate creative products as seen
from testimonies provided in the video. Advancement in technology is one of the contributing
factors.There are programs or softwares that promoteart enabling artists to express their ideas in
a more creative way. For instance, one artist admits that he collaborated with his friend who had
a website to generate his work. Another reason is the availability of audience or community that
likes fun arts. People are getting more interested with creative products generated by artists and
are willing to share them through online platformsthus motivating the artists. Furthermore,
mainstream media such as the CNN has changed on how they view user contents (Hellmueller &
Li, 2014). For instance, they support the fan artists as a way of increasing their content and
attracting more audience.

Artists are telling their stories concerning this field and what motivates them to explore
fun art.The media is providing a platform where the artists can share their experience in the field
of fun art and fiction. Through this conversation, media users including those who are not aware
of fun arts get to know what fun art really means and why artists are involved in this field. Since
the artists are telling their stories themselves, the conversation becomes more convincing
