The Woman in the Window
A. J. Finn
Contributed by Eleanor Sherer
Chapter 42
Summary

Anna feels distressed when she is proven wrong. The author represents her as an alcoholic character especially when she is upset. Anna opens a merlot and chugs down the bottle as she remembers Ethan’s reaction when she asks for his support. In her view, Ethan was definitely lying because he feared that his father would hurt him if he said the truth. At this instance, the author makes it appear as though Alistair is Anna’s murder suspect.
