The Woman in the Window
A. J. Finn
Contributed by Eleanor Sherer
Chapter 10
Summary

It’s Halloween, and Anna has no plans. She decides to switch off the lights of her house to avoid treat-or-tricking children who might come to her house. This shows that Anna preferred living in solitude. She decides to watch a thrilling movie in the dark. When Anna visits a film site, she notices that Andrew is on. She sends him a message, but he goes offline without replying. When she tries to recall the last time that a man held her hands, it is clear that she is romantically interested in Andrew. This hints at the audience of the book that Anna could have been ready to move on after the death of her husband. It is sad that Andrew ignores her message.
