After reading the article, Clueing in Customers written by Leonard Berry and Neeli
Bendapudi (2003) has helped me understand a different concept such as competitive advantage,
how organizations can survive in a competitive environment by using evidence-based
management approaches, and also how it is essential to embrace evidence-based management
approach. It is clear that customers always look for organizations that have indicators of quality
in terms of products and services. From the article, the Mayo clinic uses this approach to gain
several customer patients in their hospitals. The report emphasizes that customers should always
come first, which is a crucial thing to consider in any other business enterprise (Berry &
