Importance of integrity and fairness
When it comes to technical evaluation, integrity and fairness are essential. Integrity is one
of the key virtues considered when evaluating the contract proposals. For the team to ensure that
the process is transparent, it is required that all the stakeholders have integrity. When a person
has integrity, they will be truthful and act with total honesty. Every applicant will be evaluated
according to the merits, and the process will help the evaluation team to select the best contractor
for the project (Schwartz, 2017). Federal Acquisition Regulations also require that the evaluation
team maintains a high level of integrity. Therefore, the team is expected to have a high moral
character as they are working to make the public better. Integrity will also increase public trust as
everyone will work within integrity lines.
Integrity will also allow the team to act with fairness. When evaluations are based on
fairness, the contractors will have equal opportunities of winning the bids. Fairness and integrity
will also reduce the chances of the public demonstrating against such vices which are very
common in this line of work. When these virtues are considered during evaluations, the teams
will also take a very short time to see who the best fit for the contract is as there will be less
objection from the applicants or the public...
