Problem

Abortion has been an issue of debate for quite some time. However, the discussions in the current society rarely focus on teenagers
or underage girls who may need to access abortions. Out of the 50 American states, 36 require that a minor girl gets consent from the
parent/parents before going through with an abortion. Most people argue that this is meant to help the teenager make the right decision.
However, has anybody thought of the adverse effects it could bring to these teenage girls? Abortion, from a personal perspective,
should be an innate decision. There are those teenagers who face the threat of violence at home when they alert the parents of the
situation. Others face the risk of having their children taken away after birth (Frederico et al., 2018). Others will be forced by the same
parents to either keep or abort the children against their will. If this requirement continues, then American teens who become pregnant
by the day may be at more risk of the above scenarios. It might even...
