Democratic Primaries and Campaign Propaganda
Party primaries have taken over the news world in the last couple of days. Media houses
have focused their attention to the different candidates still in the race. Coming after the highly
controversial Iowa caucuses, New Hampshire was bound to receive extensive coverage. Main
media outlets such as NBC, Washington Post and The New York times all focused on each
candidate’s chances in New Hampshire prior to the voting process. The news coverage included
an extensive up to date following of live results from different precincts in the state. The various
media houses also made predictions while other’s called the winner of the primaries when they
were convinced that that the tally was not going to change. For instance, a headline on The
